Calcium Information Resource

http://www.calciuminfo.com/about/obesity.aspx
This website provides a lot of information about calcium. It explains that the lack of calcium can lead to obesity in people. "Each 300 mg increase in regular calcium intake per day was associated with approximately 1 kg less body fat in children and 2.5-3.0 kg lower body weight in adults." Very useful information provided on the website.

  1. Why don't they discuss the possibility that calcium intake from dairy or food might offset intake of less nutritious things like soda? It is interesting though, I hope to see some sort of definitive answer as to why calcium may play a role in obesity. To be honest, I don't even care if it's all a lie (which it probably is not)...whatever gets people to willingly intake the calcium they need is fine with me.
